You attempt to observe an opponents battle strategy. Choose a creature within range that you can see. That creature must a Wisdom saving throw. On a success the creature is unaffected and can't be affected by this spell for 24 hours. On a failure you can ask the DM the following questions, getting a truthful reply:
-Will the monster target a single character or try and hit multiple? (example answer: It will try to kill you one at a time)
-Who will the monster go for first? (example answer: The barbarian)
-When will the monster retreat, or does it intend to fight to the death? (example answer: It will retreat if it takes 50 damage)
-How is the monster going to wound us? (example answer: It will use it's fiery breath)

Posted Jul 19, 2020This is a good in-combat version of Detect Thoughts.
The only other comments I have is that it could be flavoured a bit more, the save is missing from the spell mechanics and some other classes/subclasses could have access to it.
