As an action, you can learn a single secret of a certain creature. When you cast the spell you focus your mind on any one creature that you can see within 30 feet of you. If the creature you choose has an Intelligence of 3 or lower or if it cannot hear you, the creature is unaffected.
The target must make a Wisdom saving throw. If it fails, you gain insight into a secret, a desire or what it holds most dear (if anything). If it succeeds, the spell ends and target gains a sense of unease with regards to the player and any further Insight(Wisdom) checks made against the creature are at disadvantage for 24 hours. The creature can use its action on its turn to make an Insight check contested by a Charisma check; if it succeeds, the creature distrusts the player.
On success questions verbally directed at the target creature that involve the newly learned information gain advantage to Insight, Deception, Intimidation and Persuasion checks, so this spell is particularly effective as part of an interrogation.
