You attempt to redirect the casting of a damaging spell targeted at a creature within range. A spell of 1st level or lower is redirected, allowing you to cause the spell to target a single creature within range. Make any attack rolls or saving throws again, against the new target, using your Spell Attack Modifier or Spell Save DC. The spell has no effect on the original target, but other targets of the same casting are still subject to the targeted spell’s effects. If the targeted spell is cast at 2nd level or higher, make CON saving throw. The DC equals the original caster’s Spell Save DC + the difference in spell slot levels between this spell and the targeted spell. On a success, the spell is redirected as above. On a failure, the spell treats you as the target, and you automatically fail any saving throws against any instantaneous effects, or the spell’s attack roll automatically hits you.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the targeted spell is automatically redirected if it is less than or equal to the level of the spell slot you used. Additionally, for each level above the targeted spell you cast this spell at, you can redirect one additional target of the spell.
* - when a creature you can see within range is targeted by a damaging spell.
