You create a large wall of magical force that is 15ft wide and 10ft tall centered directly in front of you and that moves with you. The wall protects you and any creatures behind it from incoming attacks and spells. It has a health pool equal to 10 points of damage and AC 10. You and any creature behind the wall have total cover and can’t be targeted by spells or attacks. The wall can be targeted however, and when it’s hit points drop to 0 the spell ends, dealing any excess damage to, and targeting the appropriate number of creatures. (For example, if a Fire Ball reduces the wall to 0 hit points and deals an excess 10 fire damage, the creatures behind the wall who would be in range of the spell must make DEX saving throws as normal, except they each only take the remaining 10 points of damage.
Spells that create areas of effect are otherwise blocked by the wall and deal no damage to creatures behind it if the spell is centered in front of the wall, it’s effect can not go around corners, and the wall has enough Hit Points remaining. Creatures can move through the wall as if it were not there.
As an action on your subsequent turns you can maintain the spells effect and keep the wall up. Otherwise, the spell ends as soon as you use your action to do anything else.
At higher levels: when you cast this spell at a level higher than 2nd the arcane shields health pool increases by 10 points for every level above 2nd.
