You pull an orb of light out of a bag. The effects do not stack and can not be used during combat. Choose Dream or Nightmare:
Dream: You place an orb with a color of your choice into a target unconscious creature to give good dreams while they are asleep, or memories if they are in reverie. As an additional cost, the target may expend up to 1 hit dice to gain the effects of this spell. They regain hit points equal to double your spellcasting modifier and may regain 2 level 1 spell slots, or 1 level 2 spell slot, per hit die expended in this way. This effect may only be countered by the Nightmare effect during that rest. If someone were to already regain spell slots during that rest, this spell has no effect on regain spell slots.
Nightmare: You place a white orb that is covered by shadowy, thorny vines, or chains into a target unconscious creature to give them nightmares. They regain hit points equal to a hit dice minus your spellcasting modifier per hit dice. This effect may only be countered with the Dream effect.
