A single object comes to life at your command. Upon animating it, you make a single one word command to the animated object. You can only have one animated object of size Tiny or Small when you cast it. You cannot have more than one object animated at any one time while this spell is in effect, and switching to a different object requires that the spell be recast as an action. If the object goes farther than 200 feet away from the caster, it ceases to be animated and the spell ends.

An animated object is a construct with AC, hit points, attacks, Strength, and Dexterity determined by its size. Its Constitution is 10 and its Intelligence and Wisdom are 3, and its Charisma is 1. Its speed is 30 feet; if the object lacks legs or other appendages it can use for locomotion, it instead has a flying speed of 30 feet and can hover. If the object is securely attached to a surface or a larger object, such as a chain bolted to a wall, its speed is 0. It has blindsight with a radius of 30 feet and is blind beyond that distance. When the animated object drops to 0 hit points, it reverts to its original object form, and any remaining damage carries over to its original object form. By GM discretion, depending on how the object attacks, damage may be done to the object when it attacks and it will take damage half of the damage it dealt to an object (example. a commanded plate crashing into a creature would cause the plate to take half the damage that it dealt to the creature as parts of it shattered on contact). A commanded object does not count as a magical item or deal magical damage for the purposes of overcoming resistance.
The object acts under the initiative of its caster during combat and is GM controlled. It can make a single melee attack against a creature within 5 feet of it. It makes a slam attack with an attack bonus and bludgeoning damage determined by its size. An object can only make one attack per round, whether that is in the form of an attack option on the object's turn or a reaction attack. The GM might rule that a specific object inflicts slashing or piercing damage based on its form.
*Notes for GMs: While this spell has useful combat potential, this spell was designed to enable interesting/funny role play. This power is granted by a cantrip, meaning it is low level magic. Therefore, its effects are somewhat unstable. When an object is given the command word attack it will attack. This command does not specify a target to attack. And the object will attempt to attack for the full minute unless it is dismissed early or concentration is lost. The spell was designed with the idea that poor usage of the spell may cause more problems for the party than good.
At Higher Levels. For each higher level spell slot, you can animate an object of a larger size. At 1st level, you can animate a medium object. At 2nd level, you can animate a large object. At 3rd level, you can animate a huge object.
