You create a servitor, a magically infused construct that takes either the skittering servitor, or the thopter servitor form, which, once the spell is complete, appears in an unoccupied space within range. The servitor has the Statistics of the chosen form.

Your servitor always obeys your commands. A servitor is capable of carrying out complex instructions, but is incapable of improvisation. In Combat, it acts directly after its creator, but is considered to act on its creator's turn. A servitor can't Attack, but it can take other Actions as normal. If given no instruction, it will not move, but will take the dodge action.

When the servitor drops to 0 Hit Points, it is destroyed, leaving scrap metal and gems behind. From this scrap, 25gp worth of metal and gems can be salvaged, which can be used in additional castings of this spell.

While your servitor is within 200 feet of you, you can communicate with it telepathically. The servitor is able to convey basic concepts in this way. Additionally, as an action, you can see through your servitor's eyes and hear what it hears until the start of your next turn, gaining the benefits of any Special Senses that the servitor has. During this time, you are deaf and blind with regard to your own Senses.

As an action, while your servitor is within 1 mile, you can temporarily deactivate your servitor. While in this state, it is incapacitated, but is otherwise indiscernible from a piece of scrap machinery. Alternatively, you can permanently deactivate it, in which case, you can salvage 40gp of metal and gems, which can be used in additional castings of this spell. As an action while it is temporarily deactivated, you can reactivate it.

You can't have more than one servitor at a time, and you cannot have both a servitor (via Construct Servitor) and a familiar (via Find Familiar) at the same time. If you cast this spell while you already have a familiar or servitor, you instead permanently dismiss the familiar or permanently deactivate the previous servitor.

Finally, when you Cast a Spell with a range of touch, your servitor can deliver the spell as if it had cast the spell. Your servitor must be within 100 feet of you, and it must use its Reaction to deliver the spell when you cast it. If the spell requires an Attack roll, you use your Attack modifier for the roll.

* - (50gp worth of metals and gems, which are consumed to create the servitor)
