You apply a powder that causes open wounds to burst into flame and burn inward. The creature must have fewer than maximum Hit Points and have an open wound.
Make a melee spell attack against a creature within range. On a Hit the creature takes 2d6 + your Intelligence Modifier fire damage up to a maximum equal to the creature's missing Hit Points. If the creature is Bleeding, its Bleeding condition is cured and it takes 4d6 + your Intelligence Modifier fire damage instead, with no maximum.
You may cast this spell using multiple spell slots. When you do so, the damage increases by 1d6 for each spell slot beyond the first.
You can cast this spell as a cantrip. When you do so you may apply the poultice at a steady slow rate. The target creature takes 1 fire damage. If the creature is not killed by the damage they are immediately stabilized. Any bleeding wounds are cauterized and infections are burned away.
