Once cast, the caster must say a wish out loud and the DM rolls a d20 in secret. The outcome of the attempted wish will be known 24 hours after the spell was casted. On a 20, the caster's wish will come true. On a 1, the wish will backfire, and the DM gets to decide how it backfired (ex. the wish becomes more of a Monkey's Paw situation, in which the caster's wish was granted, however there is an unintentional consequence to the wish or the wish is taken too literally). If the roll was not a natural 20 or a natural 1, nothing happens and the wish is not granted. The limit to what the wish can be is determined by the DM.
This wish can only be used once every week, and multiple castings of the wish will lead to the caster loosing a grip on the material plane. If the caster has cast 3 successful or unsuccessful wishes, the caster is instantly ripped from the material plane and sent to a random plane by an inescapable dimensional rift after casting the spell again.
