This spell cleanses all dead matter from bone and bleaches it white. As long as the material component is no larger than five feet in any dimension, you turn all dead matter (like flesh, hair, blood) into ash that sloughs off the bone, leaving it pristine. Any damage to the bone is unaffacted. Applicable requirements for resurrection are unaffected by this spell.
The maximum size of the affected body parts increases by five feet when you reach 5th level (10ft), 11th level (15ft), and 17th level (20ft).

Posted Aug 5, 2020I was making a character who collected skulls (for future Speak with the Dead castings as a hobby), and I was annoyed with the idea of carrying around gross fleshy decaying heads or manually scraping all the gross bits off, so I decided that there should be a spell that fulfills this functionality.
So I made one.
Ever since 5e released I thought that utility cantrips should scale up like damage cantrips do, so I did that as well. There's nothing broken about being a little more efficient or being able to clean up bigger collections of body parts at once. At least I can't think of any. And this way your level 20 character can also tidy up the skulls of bigger creatures for trophies and such, like dragon skulls. Just make sure you remove any scales you want first.
Please let me know if there are any issues with wording or functionality that you can think of.
