Words of Radience

You recite the ideals of radiance "Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination"  while gesturing then a burst of Radiant energy washes out over a creature of your choice within range.  This radiant energy burns away the moisture and breaks the bonds connecting cells.  The target takes 8d8 Radiant damage and half that on a failed save.  If the target is a fiend or undead they automatically fail the savings throw and take and extra 4d8 of damage.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 4th.
