You summon a line of spectral spears to halt an enemy's advance. Choose a 15 foot line in range. that area begins to glow as spears start budding from the ground. The first time a creature steps on this line, it must make a dexterity saving throw as a line of spears erupt from the ground to meet it. On a failed saving throw, the creature takes 3d6 piercing damage, and half as much on a successful saving throw. On both a failed or successful save, the creature's speed becomes zero. The spears then remain for the duration, becoming difficult terrain. If no creature touches this area for the spell's duration, the spell fades. Additionally, the caster has the choice whether this area is triggered by a creature or by their own reaction.
