You create two arcs of lightning that streak towards two different targets. Make a ranged attack roll for each arc. On a hit the target takes 2d8 lightning damage. If both targets are hit, another arc of lightning forms in between them, they each take an extra 1d8 lightning damage.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the damage of each intial arc increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 2nd.
