You weave a curtain of fey magic that charms the senses of creatures you choose. Roll 6d10; the total is how many hit points of creatures this spell can effect. Creatures in a 60-foot cube within range that can hear you you are affected in ascending order of their current hit points (ignoring unconscious creatures and creatures that can't hear).
Choose a number of creatures or objects other than you equal to 1 + your spellcasting ability modifier. Starting with the creature that has the lowest current hit points, each creature affected by this spell is charmed by you. While charmed by you in this manner, a target of this spell is unable to see or hear the the creature or objects you designated, as though they were hidden and invisible, until the spell ends. Subtract each affected creature's hit points from the total before moving on to the creature with the next lowest hit points. A creature's hit points must be equal to or less than the remaining total for that creature to be affected. If an affected creature takes damage during the spell's duration or if they seem something that would break the illusion, such as an object rising from the ground as if moved by an invisible force or if they fall through a hole that does not appear to be there, they can make an Intelligence (Investigation) check against your spell save DC, ending the effect on themselves on a success. If the target makes this check because it took damage, the check has advantage.
Special. When you cast this spell as a ritual, you weave the verbal components into a song, oration, or other audible component by using the musical instrument material component. Creatures listening to the ballad would make a Wisdom (Insight) check contested by your Charisma (Performance) check. You can apply any proficiency bonus you gain using the musical instrument material component.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, roll an additional 2d10 for each slot level above 3rd.
