Triggered by the next spell cast by the caster before their next turn. Nearly always used before another spell, this cantrip is cast before the caster plans on casting another spell that has a Vocal and/or Somatic casting component. The cantrip effectively obscures any somatic or vocal components that would give away the caster as using magic. It does not, however, obscure any effects of the spell (a ball of fire being hurled from your finger tips, glaring magic missiles, etc).
If someone is actively watching the caster, a Wisdom Saving Throw is made to see through the illusion. However, the DC is inversely related to level of spell, more powerful spells have more “loud” Vocal and Somatic components. The DC is 10+Caster Spell Modifer+8 for Cantrips 7 -1st Spells, 5 - 2nd Level Spells, 3- 3rd Level Spells, and 2-4th Level Spells.
