This spell assaults and twists creature's minds, causing an aggressive form of grammatical misinterpretation. For the duration of the spell, any affected creature that has failed it's saving throw speaks, writes or understands any language as gibberish. This includes telepathic abilities for the sake of communication.
When cast, the spell-caster indicates a single individual/creature to affect. This target(s) must make a Wisdom Saving throw or succumb to the affects of this spell. On a failed save, the target(s) may attempt another save at the end of the next turn. Each target is allowed a cumulative 3 saving throw attempts, at which time, they are free of the affects or (in the case of three failed saves) completely under the effects of the spell for the duration and may not make any additional saving throws.
When under the effects of this spell, the victim is unable to verbalize or visualize (write) in a coherent manner for any and all other creatures they attempt to communicate with. All skills or actions involving communication automatically fail. Furthermore, any spell requiring vocal capability will not be able to be used by the victim, until such time as the spell effects wear off or are cancelled externally. A Dispel Magic, Greater Restoration or Wish can be used to cancel the effects of the Confuse Tongues.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 6th level or higher, and additional target may be designated by the spell-caster; 2 at 6th level, 3 at 7th level, 4 at 8th level, and up to 5 at 9th level.
