You concentrate a great amount of energy in your fist or open hand and release it upon contact. Make a melee spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 2d8 force damage and its pushed 20 feet away from you and knocked prone. If a thrown target strikes an object, such as a wall or floor, the target takes 3 (1d6) bludgeoning damage for every 10 feet it was cut short of its trajectory. If the target is thrown at another creature, that creature must succeed on a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw or they both take half the damage and are knocked prone.
If the saving throw is successful, the creature takes no damage and isn't knocked prone and the original target continues its trajectory normally.
