You cause two objects of equal value to switch places. After 1 minute of casting, touch the material component for this spell, valued no more than 25 gold, and pick an object within range that costs between 20 and 30 gold. You do not need to be able to see the target object. Both of these objects will instantaneously teleport into each other's space, trading places.
If the objects’ sizes are unequal and one cannot fit into the other’s space, you and the larger object take 2d6 force damage and the objects do not teleport.
This spell cannot target objects that are being worn or carried, objects within an Antimagic Field, or objects on a different plane of existence to you. This spell also cannot target objects that are blocked by a lead barrier of any thickness.
At Higher Levels: The material component and target object may be worth 50 gold at 2nd level, 100 gold at 3rd level, 250 gold at 4th level, 500 gold at 5th level, 1,000 gold at 6th level, 2,500 gold at 7th level, 5,000 gold at 8th level, and 10,000 gold at 9th level. The maximum difference in value between the material component and the target object increases by 5 gold for each spell slot above 1st.
* - (an object or objects equal in value to the target, with a margin of error detailed in the spell description)
