You utter an arcane word, and an object you touch breaks in two pieces. The object must be smaller than 10ft by 10ft in any direction. The object cannot be repaired by the use of the mending cantrip or similar magic: it must be recrafted or reforged and, if it was a magical item, re-enchanted.

If the object is being held or worn by another creature, they can make a Dexterity saving throw to avoid the effects of the spell on the chosen object. On a success, the spell is ineffective and the spell slot is wasted. On a failure, the spell takes effect as above.

At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 8th level or higher, the number of pieces the object is sundered into increases by one.
