You summon forth a sickly green wall of acid up to 20 feet high, 5 feet wide and 100 feet long. Alternatively you can create a circle with a diameter of 30 feet that is 20 feet high and 5 feet wide. The area behind the wall is considered heavily obscured. Any creature caught in the area must make a dexterity saving throw. On a failure the creature takes 5d8 acid damage and is covered in acid. It takes an additional 2d8 acid damage at the start of its turns or until it uses an action to remove the acid from itself. On a success the creature takes half damage and is not covered in acid. The creature then is moved to a side of its wall of its choice. Any time a creature enters the wall or starts its turn there it must succeed a dexterity saving throw or take the same damage as before. If it moves through the wall, even if it succeeds the dexterity saving throw, it is considered to be covered in acid.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 8th level or higher, both types of damage increase by 1d8 for each slot level above 7th.
