Target one willing creature within range. Target creature is filled with an overwhelming amount of energy. You choose acid, cold, fire, lightning, poison, or thunder for the type of energy that fills target creature.

Until the spell ends, chromatic energy pours out of the target's body, and you gain the following effects:

  • The target's movement speed is doubled, and spells and other magical effects cannot reduce the target's speed nor cause the target to be paralyzed or restrained.

  • The target becomes immune to the damage type of the energy that fills the target's body for the duration of the spell.

  • The target gains 50 temporary hit points, and their size doubles in all dimensions, causing their size to increase by one category.

  • As a bonus action on each of the target's turns, they can let loose a torrent of energy that varies depending on the energy surrounding the target of the spell
    • Acid: A powerful corrosive liquid spews forth from the target's mouth. Each creature in a 30 foot long, 5 foot wide line directly in front of the target take 6D8 acid damage and another 3D8 acid damage at the end of its next turn. On a successful save, the creature take half of the initial damage, and no damage at the end of its next turn.
    • Cold: Arctic winds whip around the target's body. Each creature within a 20 foot radius sphere centered on the target must make a Constitution saving throw against the spellcaster's spell DC or take 6D8 cold damage, and their speed is reduced 15 feet until the start of your next turn. On a successful save, the creature takes half damage and is not slowed.
    • Fire: White-hot flames erupt out of the target's body. Each creature within a 20 foot radius sphere centered on the target must make a Dexterity saving throw equal to the spellcaster's spell DC, or take 6d8 fire damage and are lit on fire. A creature that is on fire takes 2D8 fire damage at the start of each of their turns. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage and is not lit on fire. A creature can use an action to douse the fire on their body.
    • Lightning: A storm cloud appears over the target's head. Up to 5 creatures within 30 feet of the target must make a Dexterity saving throw or take 6D8 lightning damage and are blinded until the start of your next turn. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage and are not blinded. Each creature can only be affected by one of the bolts.
    • Poison: A toxic gas seeps out of the target. Each creature in a 20 foot radius sphere centered on the target must make a Constitution saving throw or take 6D8 poison damage and become poisoned until the start of your next turn. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage and is not poisoned.
    • Thunder: A sonic boom that can be heard up to 500 feet away detonates from the target. Each creature within a 20 foot radius sphere centered on the target must make a Strength saving throw or take 6D8 thunder damage. Additionally, each creature is pushed 15 feet away and are knocked prone. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage and are not pushed or knocked prone.

The amount of energy flowing through the target's body is difficult to endure. At the end of each of the target's turns, they must make a DC 20 Constitution saving throw or gain one level of exhaustion. Both the target creature and the spellcaster can choose to end this effect as a free action, but the target affected by this spell cannot end the effect if they have already used their bonus action to unleash a torrent of energy until their next turn.
