Posted Dec 3, 2023Couple of things to help you out.
First, this should probably be Transmutation, considering it changes the state of something. Evocation is for Elemental Damaging spells.
Second, It should be at least a 2nd level spell. If it was a cantrip, locks would be useless in the world when a guy who just learned magic can open it by just touching it.
Third, The DC should be determined by the DM, or there should be a table. Like a small lock is DC 10, A bigger lock DC 15, A hard one 18 DC, and so forth.
Other than that, this is a really cool idea.
