AOE: 30² feet configuration and 20 feet in the air (+30² feet area +20 feet hight for higher-level spell slots)

This spell causes a field of rubbery black tentacles from an abyss creature to appear through a two way portal from the abyss plane made on the floor and reaching for any creature in the area of effect (AOE)

effects:

difficult terrain inside the AOE

grapple: when a creature first enters the AOE or starts their turn in it they must make a dex or strength check dc 8(12level 4 spell/ 16 level 5)+caster spell dc or become grappled and take 3d12 bludgeoning damage.

active grapple: as a bonus action the caster can telepathically cause the tentacles to attempt a grapple on a creature in or 20 feet beyond the AOE

smack: as an attack action, the tentacles may attack a creature 40 feet from the AOE with an attack using the casters to hit and attacks per action,  doing 5d12 bludgeoning damage and sending any targeted creature 50 feet away from where they were standing and away from the AOE as well as knocking prone.

abyssal drag: as an action, the tentacles will try to pull all grappled creatures through the portal to eat them, this makes it easier to break out of and a dex or strength save of 6+ (1/4 spell save dc rounded up) releases them from the grapple and spares them from the portal closing

other:

the spell immune to counterspell, dispel magic, and antimagic field, however an area of dead magic which is larger than the area of the portal does cause the spell to fail,

doing 150 damage to the tentacles against an AC of 8 causes it to retreat into the portal ending the spell

attacking a tentacle that is holding a grappled creature specifically grants disadvantage but releases the grappled creature next to the attacker (doesn't occur with huge and beyond creatures as multiple tentacles are needed)

more than one portal may be opened at a time or more spells may be used to expand the AOE by 30 feet each time.

 willing creatures that the caster allows as well as the caster themselves may enter through the portal. if closed before returning any creature that casts this spell in that area will simply create a portal back to an area the creature had been within the day.

any creatures left in the 

additional:

the caster can dictate which creatures are to be grappled and/or are affected by the difficult terrain and can even move allies away from the AOE if they allow

when being thrown to or hitting the ground the creature(s) will become prone

grappled actions:

toss: as a bonus action or optionally as an action the caster can telepathically control the tendrils to throw one or multiple grappled creature up to 50 feet in any direction away from the edge of the AOE (at any surface that isn't higher than 20 feet or the floor at any point 50 feet from the edge of the AOE) from 20 in the air for the equivalent of falling damage (1d10 every 10 feet, max 7d10) with every 10 feet away decreasing the damage die by 1 for a minimum of 2d10. the caster may double this distance thrown in exchange for minimum damage.

throw: for a full action the caster can semantically control the tendrils to throw one grappled creature 100 feet in any direction (including straight up to allow natural fall damage take effect) with the same damaging effects as toss just doubled (max die throw 12d10) and with the doubling distance capacity at minimum damage (4d10)

pitch: using the full turn (action and bonus action) the power of throw is doubled with the need for greater exaggeration on the semantic control again for a single grappled creature, (200 feet, 22d10 max, 6d10min, double distance less harmful distance)

fire: using the whole of the round (action, bonus, reaction) and giving enemies advantage on attack rolls against the caster the power is doubled from pitch once again as the user has to put maximum mental energy and motion into the throw (400 feet, 42d10max, 8d10min)

slam: when a surface is within 20 feet of the edges of the AOE  a roof is the same with ground-level any of the above throws may be used to smack the creature(s[only for toss]) into the surfaces as many times as equal to your attacks per action, no surface may be used to slam more than once and the ground is excluded. damage is equal to 80% max damage minus 2d10.

remove: as a bonus or action, up to 3 items may be removed from creatures and thrown up to 200 feet away. creatures being targeted may make a strength save roll against spellcasting save dc

saves:

recover: when up to "pitched" into a surface the thrown creature can make a dex or con saving throw equal to the spell DC of the caster to half the damage but not when being slammed.

wall catch: when thrown into a wall the creature may make a Dex saving throw to catch themself on the wall

ungrapple: when grappled a creature can make a strength or dex save of dc 8(12level 4 spell/ 16 level 5)+caster spell dc. when ungrappled the creature must make a 1d(however large the AOE is) to determine where they land, 1 being center and 5 under max being out of the AOE, max is 20 feet from AOE
