Concentrate on a person or creature who is well known/familiar to you and whisper a message. If the target is in spell range the target (and only the target) hears the message and can reply in a whisper that only you can hear.

The spell doesn't follow a straight line and travels freely around corners, through openings and barriers until it reaches the target (if within range). Magical silence blocks the spell.
