Looking for an effective way to capture potential sources of information or kidnap ransom worthy targets, the Zhentarim commissioned high ranking wizards to craft a non-lethal spell for use by faction wizards and arcane tricksters.

 The result of this work is the Zhentarim's Zap.

 As an action you squeeze a coin between your thumb and forefinger and whisper the arcane words. As a result, the coin morphs into two small darts shoots towards the target.

 Roll for a ranged attack

 A hit deals 2d8 lightning damage.

 On a critical hit or if the damage dealt exceeds half of the target's remaining hit points, then the target must make a constitution saving throw. If the target fails their saving throw then they fall unconscious for 1 minute. 

 If the damage reduces target to 0hp, then the target is unconscious but stable. They regain conscious when they regain at least 1 HP.

  At Higher Levels: Add 1d8 for every spell slot above first level
