You attempt to ascend to godhood. Make a DC 15 Charisma saving throw. On a failed save, your soul leaves your body but is destroyed instantly by the immensely powerful magic surrounding you. You can only be restored to life by a wish spell or divine intervention. On a successful save, your soul takes the magical energy, and binds with it, then is instantly transported to Mount Celestia, and becomes a god.

Posted Apr 4, 2023a similar spell is 12th level in forgotten realms lore and the casting of that spell caused the 9th level limit on spells

Posted Feb 24, 2026This being on specifically the Celestial Warlock's spell list is really funny cause it implies a god can give somebody else the power to become a god, which would imply one of two things, given sufficient time the universe reaches some crazy levels of powerscaling, or being the god really just isn't that big a deal. Also, given that a Wizard can just have a Simulacrum prepared who can cast the Wish spell to bring them back, they can just keep on trying this.
