Select space that you can see within range and a sticky blue slime is conjured to cover the ground in a 5ft square area, making it difficult terrain for the duration of the spell.
While the spell is active any creature that makes contact with the slime must make a Strength Saving Throw against your Spell DC or be subject to the Grappled condition. A creature already grappled in this way may use an Action to attempt to break free with a Strength Check against your spell DC. A creature that breaks free is no longer grappled, but must make another Strength Saving Throw against your Spell DC whenever it moves into another 5ft space affected by the spell.
When Velcroe's Viscosity is cast it can be held from completion and released at the caster's discretion, however the spell is instead lost if they lose concentration or if they use any of their movement speed. For each minute that a caster holds this spell from completion they must make a Concentration Check DC 10 + the level of spell slot expended to cast it. If the spell is lost the spell slot remains expended.
When this spell is cast using a spell slot of second level or above, both the radius of the effect increases by 5ft and the duration increases by one round per level of the spell slot expended.
