You infuse life into the stone itself. When you cast the spell the stone forms itself into 2 Stone Guardians. They each wield a shield and spear, but otherwise are plain stone statues.

As a bonus action, you can mentally command one or both of the creatures made with this spell if the creatures are within 500 feet of you. You decide what action the creature will take and where it will move during its next turn, or you can issue a general command, such as to guard a particular chamber or corridor. If you issue no commands, the creature only defends itself against any hostile creatures. Once given an order, either specific or general, the guardian continues to follow it until its task is complete.

The Mending cantrip restores 1d6 hit points to the guardian, but it cannot be healed in any other way. The golems remain animate for 7 days, at which point you can re-cast the spell renews the guardian's loyalty. Re-casting the spell restores all hit points to the guardians, but requires the same material components as the initial cast. If you do not re-cast the spell, the guardians fall to the ground and turn to fine dust. A DC 10 Investigation check allows you to collect 10gp of fine stone for every 2hp the guardians had when the spell ended.

Stone Guardians have the following stats:

AC 13, HP 100, SPD 35'
Saves: STR+7, CON+3
immune to Poison, Charm, Frightened, Exhausted, Paralyzed
30' Blindsight
Immutable Form, Magical Attacks
Spear Attack, 10' reach, +8 to hit, 2d10+4 piercing

* - (fine stone material worth at least 1000gp, which the spell consumes)
