A 5-foot cube of ice appears in an unoccupied space of your choice within range that is on the ground and lasts for the duration. The sphere is indestructible and cannot melt as long as the spell continues. Any creature that ends its turn within 5 feet of the cube takes 1d8 cold damage.

As a bonus action, you can move the cube up to 30 feet on the ground. If you ram the cube into a creature, that creature must make a Strength saving throw or take 1d6 bludgeoning damage and 1d8 cold damage on a failed save and be pushed up to 10 feet directly away from the cube. On a successful saving throw, the creature takes half damage and is not moved. Either way the cube stops moving this turn.

When you move the cube, it can move over all liquids unimpeded, slide up or down any smooth solid wall, and move in any direction as long as at least one of its sides stays attached to a flat surface at all times. The cube freezes nonmagical liquids that are cooler than boiling water that are within 5 feet of it.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the cold damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 2nd.
