A sudden magical blizzard forms around you, freezing those of your choice exposed to harsh weather. Each creature of your choice within a 30-foot-radius, 50-foot-high cylinder centered on yourself must make a Constitution saving throw, made at advantage by creatures wearing snow clothes. On a failed saving throw the target takes 6d8 cold damage, or half as much on a successful save. A creature that is killed by this damage becomes a magically frozen statue until it thaws 9 days later, or three days later in a hot environment. 

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 3rd.
