Clive's Breakable Bolt

By slightly increasing the mass and reducing the range, Clive can conjure this augmented Chaos Bolt only if Lorna or Clive has readied an action to act on the same turn.

Once released at a creature, the Chaos Bolt can be shattered by a Crossbow bolt causing the energies of the spell to fracture into Cluster Bolts.

Requirements:

• Clive and Lorna must act at the same time by using readied actions.
• Clive must hit the AC of the target creature
• Lorna must hit and shatter the Chaos Bolt (AC10) with a crossbow bolt.

Effects:

• The target takes the initial spell damage as well as the Crossbow Bolt damage
• The Chaos Bolt shatters into fragments and the target and each creature within 10 feet of it must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw (whichever DC is highest) or take 2d6 of the Chaos Bolts damage type
• Should Clive's Breakable Bolt bounce to another creature and hit, the target takes an additional 1d8 piercing damage
