This spell creates an humanoid puppet. Choose a corpse of a Medium or Small humanoid within range. Your spell imbues the target with a foul mimicry of life, raising it as an living puppet. The target's stats becomes that of a zombie, the corpse however maintains it's previous Intelligence, Wisdom and Charisma scores as well as any languages it previously spoke. You may only have one puppet at a time, if you begin casting this spell on another corpse, the first crumbles to ash, unable to be used in the casting of this spell.

On each of your turns, you can use a bonus action to mentally command the puppet you made with this spell if it is within 60 feet of you. You decide what action the creature will take and where it will move during its next turn, or you can issue a general command, such as to guard a particular chamber or corridor. If you issue no commands, the creature only defends itself against hostile creatures. Once given an order, the creature continues to follow it until its task is complete. As an action you can take complete control of the puppet's senses, speech and movement. During this time, you are deaf and blind with regard to your own senses. When you cast spells while concentrating on this spell, you can have them originate from either your body or the body of the puppet.

The puppet looks the same as it did before death and is indistinguishable from a normal person. Someone who knew the person in life can make an Intelligence (Investigation) Check against your spell casting modifier, discerning the puppet for what it is on a success.

* - (A fresh corpse, killed in the past 24 hours, Incense worth at least 500gp and Rubies worth at least 2,000gp)
