Posted Nov 11, 2020Wizards don't heal damage. That's what clerics and druids are for. But, your DM may allow it. If so, ok.
Make it Necromancy I think but Transmutation isn't wrong. The deal with Wizards healing is that they have to drain the healing power from somewhere else, not just heal people. Like Drain life on an unsuspecting a goat or dog -- you kill it dead and add 3D8 healing plus intelligence modifier to target wounded creature. See?

Posted Apr 6, 2022Wizards do have access to Vampiric Touch, Enervation, Soul Cage, and Life Transference. However, they all share the concept that the healing occurs by channeling life energy from other creatures (in addition to being really pathetic spells), so this spell does still seem out of place...
