You create a wall of text on a solid surface within range. You can make the wall up to 60 feet long, 20 feet high, and 1 inch thick, or a ringed wall up to 20 feet in diameter, 20 feet high, and 1 inch thick. The wall heavily obscures the area and lasts for the duration.
Blind creatures, creatures who can not read and creatures with intelligence below 3 are unaffected by this spell.
When the wall appears, each creature within its area must takes 4d8 psychic damage (half as much on a successful Intelligence save).
One side of the wall, selected by you when you cast this spell, deals 4d8 psychic damage to each creature that ends its turn within 10 feet of that side or inside the wall. A creature takes the same damage when it enters the wall for the first time on a turn or ends its turn there. The other side of the wall deals no damage.
When a creature takes damage from the wall, it must make an Intelligence saving throw. On a fail, its thoughts are muddled. Until the spell ends, it must subtract 1d6 from all attack rolls, ability checks and Constitution saves made to maintain concentration. It may repeat the save at the end of its each turn. On a success, the creature is immune to this effect for 1 round.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 6th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 5th.
