Damage

You hurl a streak of blood at a creature or object within range. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 1d10 'blood'geoning damage (Cool pun, real talk: it's Piercing Damage). An object or creature hit by this spell will be splashed with blood. This spell’s damage increases by 1d10 when you reach 5th level (2d10), 11th level (3d10), and 17th level (4d10).

You can use your own blood to cast this spell. Whenever you do so you take 1d4 damage, symbolic of a cut you do to yourself and weave your blood out of a wound.
The damage done to yourself increases by 1d4 when you reach 5th level (2d4), 11th level (3d4), and 17th level (4d4)

Alternatively, if within the spells range, you can forcefully use the blood of a creature that has been damaged already, making it the origin of your attack. Centered on that creature, make a ranged spell attack against another creature that stands within a 30ft radius.
Attacks used in this way have advantage if the origin of the attack is not within the targets sight.

If you wish to use a creatures blood against itself, the die for the damage becomes a d12 and the target must succeed on a Constitution Saving Throw or take damage. (Within 30ft radius centered on you.)
