As an Action, you conjure chains made of ice to sprout from a 20 foot radius area centered on a point you can see within 60 feet. The first time a creature enters the area on their turn or if it starts it's turn there, that creature must make a Dexterity Saving Throw or take 1d6 bludgeoning and 1d6 cold damage.
When you cast this spell and as an action on subsequent turns while the spell is active, you may attempt you restrain a number of creatures equal to your spellcasting modifier within the area. Each targeted creature must make a Dexterity saving throw against your Spell Save DC, or take 2d6 bludgeoning and 2d6 cold damage and become restrained, taking half damage on a success and not becoming restrained. A restrained creature may use an action to attempt to break the chains by rolling a Strength saving throw versus your Spell Save DC.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the bludgeoning and cold damage to a targeted creature increases by 1d6 each per level of spell slot used above the 3rd.
