You transform an ordinary metal pin into a floating wizzing arrow. You can control the location and speed of this arrow by whistling. This lasts for the duration or until you cast this spell again. When you cast the spell, you can make a ranged spell attack against a creature within a range of 60 feet. On a hit, the target takes piercing damage equal to 1d8 + your spellcasting ability modifier.
On your next round you can use your bonus action to shoot the arrow again up to 60 feet at a creature.
After making an attack the arrow will always try to return to you, if the target is up to half it's maximal distance (30 feet) away it will succeed in this and float harmlessly next to you in an unoccupied space. If your target is farther away it will drop to the floor and you will need to get within 30 feet of it before you can fire it again.
If the arrow misses an attack it will automatically fly out of your range with a maximum of 60 feet.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 for every two slot levels above 2nd.
