Acid

You create three globes of acid and hurl them at a target within range. You can hurl them at one target or, if you are willing to suffer the chaotic effects of the spell, attempt to throw them at multiple targets. In this case, make a DC 10 Charisma save for each additional target.  On a successful save, the globe attacks the target of your choice, otherwise it remains locked onto the original target of the spell.

Make a ranged spell attack for each globe. On a hit, the target takes 2d6 acid damage. Treat a natural 1 on the attack as a chaotic backlash of arcane energy.  The failed globe randomly chooses a target of your group, including you, and makes another attack using your Spell Casting Attack modifier. The target suffers 1d6 acid damage.  Treat a natural 20 as a critical hit against a target of your choice, so long as they were indicated as a target when you first began to cast the spell.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, you create one additional globe for each slot level above 2nd.
