You harness the chaos of the weave, channelling an undulating mote of potential, Targeting a number of creatures in range of your choice equal to the spell slot used. Make a ranged spell attack on each creature. If the number of creatures targeted does not equal the spell slot used, the number of damage die (d20) is divided between creatures. In case of an uneven number the closest creature takes the extra damage roll.
Upon casting the spell roll on a wild magic surge table and additionally for any natural 1 or 20 rolled for damage.
On a hit, target takes 1d20 damage of a type pertaining to the number rolled.
For each damage roll of 20, the caster takes 1d4 psychic damage.

At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d20 for each slot level above 1st.
Home Brewed to be imbued into a magic weapon (ie Staff of Chaos) having one charge at a spell level the wielder is capable of, recharging once per long rest.
