You create blunt spikes of earth on the ground that you can see within range. The spikes fill a 5-foot cube. Any creature in the spikes' space when you cast this spell must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take 1d8 bludgeoning damage. The spikes cause that area to be difficult terrain. You can create an extra instance of the spell at 5th level, 11th level, and 17th level. All instances must be connect to at least one other instance. Multiple instances may be placed in the same area to stack their damage, but only one Dexterity save is done by any creature.
