You twist parts of a a nearby corpse into a deadly spear, launching it at a target. As an action, choose a corpse or a pile of skeletal remains within 10 feet of you. You mold and shape the corpse into a spear and launch it at a nearby target within 30 feet. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 3d10 damage. The damage of this spell is either magical bludgeoning or magical piercing. The damage type is determined by the type of remains you've chosen; magical bludgeoning for corpses and magical piercing for bones.
If this effect would kill the target, another Corpse Lance erupts from the target. You may choose another target within 15 feet of the original target and make a ranged spell attack against them. On a hit, the target takes half the damage the original target took. This effect can only happen once per corpse lance.
Corpses defiled and twisted in this manner are still able to be resurrected and brought back to life by means of Revivify and Raise Dead as examples.
At Higher Levels: For every two spell slots above 3rd, you may target an additional corpse within range; allowing you to launch an additional lance. and the distance at which you may target corpses increases by 10 feet.
