You extend your hand and draw a single sigil in the air and press it against a creature you can see within range. The sigil apparates into a collection of larger protective disks which surround the creature and spiral around its form. While the sigils are active, the creature benefits from half cover, gaining the +2 to AC and Dexterity saving throws.
At higher levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd or 4th level, the sigils become more numerous, and the creature gains the benefits of three-quarters cover. When you use a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the range on the spell becomes 30ft, and you can target an additional creature you can see within range for each slot level above 4th.
