A reckless spell charged with cold fury and burning rage. The area surrounding you becomes heated, the air becomes heavy and dry, and hairs stand on end. A trail of loud sparks forms, crackling and fizzing with electricity, leading from your two pointed fingers to a point which you can see within range. From it, explodes a sphere of pure energy. Arcing electricity strikes and shocks those nearby, while excess energy is converted into a blazing heat.
The first time this spell is cast each long rest, the user suffers no ill effects. If the spell is cast a second time before completing a long rest, the user makes an Intelligence saving throw of DC 15. On a failed save, they take 6d6 fire damage.
Each creature in the 20-foot-radius sphere must make a Dexterity saving throw. A target takes 8d6 lightning damage, and 2d6 fire damage on a failed save. All damage is halved on a successful saving throw.
The fire spreads around corners. It ignites flammable objects in the area that aren't being worn or carried.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 3rd.
