If the attack hits, the target then makes a Constitution saving throw, resisting the spell's stunning effects on a success, and on a failure, becomes stunned for 1 minute.
The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, and for each time a creature fails the save, the DC reduces by 1 for them.

At higher levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the beam jumps to one more opponent for each slot level above 1st. Any new target must be a different target than any of the previous ones and within 10ft of the last target.
