Detect Life

You are able to see life around you for 100 feet for the duration of the spell, however, you are not able to discern one type of life from another. If a creature is moving, you can see the direction of its movement.

You are unable to see through 1 foot of stone, 1 inch of common metal, a thin sheet of lead, or 3 feet of wood or dirt. Further for the duration of the spell you are considered blind beyond 100 feet. If a creature is hiding amongst other living things (trees, fish, bushes, etc) then the life bleeds together into one mass rendering the spell less useful in crowded spaces.
