You convert precious metal materials into jewelry, usually a ring, of the same material. If another caster casts a spell on the gem used in the casting of bind magic, the gem absorbs all of the effects of the spell which is then imbued into the item. The item has 3 charges of the spell that was cast on the gem; when all charges are gone, the gem cracks and it loses its magic. If the spell requires an attack roll or saving throw, the attack bonus and spell saved are based on the power of the original caster of the spell. The item does not require attunement.
At Higher Levels. If you cast this spell using a spell slot of 6th or 7th level, the item created has 1 additional charge for each slot level above 5th. If you use an 8th level spell slot, the item has 5 charges, but when all charges are used up, roll a d20; on a 1 the gem cracks and it loses all magic, otherwise, it will regain all charges at the next dawn. This effect only happens once. When the item runs out of charges again, all magic in the item is lost. If you use a 9th level spell slot, the item has 4 charges and when all charges are used up, roll a d20; on a 1 the gem cracks and it loses all magic, otherwise, it will regain all charges at the next dawn. This effect is infinite unless the item is affected by dispel magic.
