Visions of the Damned

You gather a beam of energy dripping with the influence of The Fugue Plane and send it twords one creature of your choice within range. The target must make a Wisdom saving through or take 3d8 psychic damage and become Frightened until the end of their next turn as there mind is flooded with visions of the afterlife that they will be sent to upon death. The target takes half damage and isn't incapacitated on a successful save. If the target is of Evil alignment the damage is increased by 1d8.

At higher levels: When you cast this spell with a higher level spell slot the damage is increased by 1d8 per level.
