Derived from the incomplete notes of Arruzio Quickbreeze, this spell requires a sacrifice to activate in order to create a cone of destruction.

A necromancer with a skeletal minion, as from the Animate Dead spell.  You can move your undead minion as normal and have them make their attack, then using your action, you can cause the minion to explode outward in a 40 foot cone, dealing damage to everyone in the cone's path.

Every creature or object caught in the cone's path can make a Dex saving throw at disadvantage or takes 3d8 piercing damage, save for half. This wild scatter of bones tears through everything in its path causing magical piercing damage striking randomly, roll damage individually for each target.

Cast at higher levels the spell does an additional 1d8+1.

It goes without saying that the minion is destroyed completely.

This spell can be used on non-animate skeletal remains, but doing so significantly weakens the power of the spell: reducing the range to 20 feet, and making the shards easier to dodge, eliminating the disadvantage on the saving throw.
