Damage/Effect

Any nonevil creature within the area of a blasphemy spell makes a charisma saving throw and upon failing suffers the following ill effects:

DC Effect
Equal or above to caster DC  Incapacitated
Up to caster DC -1 Frightened, Incapacitated
Up to caster DC -5 Paralyzed, Frightened, Incapacitated
Up to caster DC -10 Killed, Paralyzed, Frightened, Incapacitated

The effects are cumulative and concurrent. The saving throw can be repeated at the end of each creature's turn. Creatures affected by multiple effects make only one save and apply the result to all the effects.

Incapacitated:

  • An incapacitated creature can’t take Actions or Reactions.

Frightened:

  • A frightened creature has disadvantage on Ability Checks and Attack Rolls while the source of its fear is within Line of Sight.
  • The creature can’t willingly move closer to the source of its fear.

Paralyzed:

  • A paralyzed creature is incapacitated (see the condition) and can’t move or speak.
  • The creature automatically fails Strength and Dexterity Saving Throws.
  • Attack Rolls against the creature have advantage.
  • Any Attack that hits the creature is a critical hit if the attacker is within 5 feet of the creature.

Killed:

  • Living creatures die. Undead creatures are destroyed.

Furthermore, if you are on your home plane when you cast this spell, nonevil extraplanar creatures within the area are instantly banished back to their home planes. Creatures so banished cannot return for at least 24 hours. This effect takes place regardless of whether the creatures hear the blasphemy or not. The banishment effect allows a Charisma save to negate.
