You create up to three magical orbs that hover around any number of creatures of your choice that you can see within range, dividing the orbs among those you choose. For the duration, whenever a creature with an orb damages another creature with an attack or spell on its turn, that creature can choose to consume any number of orbs it has to amplify the damage to the affected creature. Each orb deals 1d4 force damage to the affected creature. An orb's damage cannot be applied to a creature who succeeds a saving throw to resist the effects of a spell.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the number of orbs generated increases by one for each slot level above 1st.
